Frequently Asked Questions
What do I need to bring? Bring water/drinks, in a small cooler, but NO glass bottles. Bring your own snacks/food, sunglasses, and sunscreen (lotion type and please apply before getting onto the boat). Gratuity for your captain/crew (20% is customary based on your charter price). Please wear appropriate shoes, no boots, and no black soled shoes.
What is included in the price of the trip? Fuel, Bait, Tackle, Equipment, and fish cleaning. Please bring a second cooler for any CLEANED fish and leave them in your vehicle until after the trip to allow for more fishing room on the boat.
Do I need a fishing license? Yes, you do! Texas Saltwater Fishing license is required for those over 17 years old. Red drum tag is needed if you would like to keep the 1 per person/tag limit. Your license cannot be purchased at the dock. It must be obtained from Texas Parks and Wildlife or any sporting goods store with a hunting and fishing counter within the state of Texas. If you wish to keep the 1 per person limit of oversized red drum, you MUST HAVE a physical red drum tag with you. Online proof of tag is not adequate. (super combo excluded)
Where do I go? Our boat is located at the Galveston Yacht Basin at 715 North Holiday Dr, Slip #C67, Galveston, TX 77551. Your captain will give you more instructions on how to meet them. Please arrive 15 minutes early to allow your captain to give you instructions on getting to the boat and going through pre-trip details.
What if I need to cancel? You can cancel or modify your booking up to 3 days prior to the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you will forfeit 100% of your deposit that you've paid. This does not apply if the captain needs to cancel/modify due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
